Good Friday

Good Friday turned out to be quite the exciting day for us. Jesse had the day off so it was fun to have Daddy with us for everything we did. At 10:30 a.m. there was an Easter Egg Hunt at the home of our friend Elaina, hosted by Elaina and her sister-in-law, our close friend, Betsy. It was so fun! Betsy made extra effort to have special eggs marked for Corban because he can't have chocolate (well, he can have cocoa but most candy has milk and/or nuts in it, too, and that stuff is off limits for him). Anyway, here are some fun shots from the Easter Egg Hunt- enjoy!

Corban got lots of Nerds plus some Gummy Worms- yum- SUGAR!!

Betsy also had prizes for the kids that all us parents chipped in on. Corban got a cool carrot baseball bat with green ball and a little Nerf football:)

Betsy even had a fun craft for the kids- I don't think Corban worked on his at all- his Nerds were too distracting;)

After the Egg Hunt, Jesse took Corban to a follow-up doctor appointment at 1 p.m. and I gave our friend Mandy and her son Nathan a ride home then met up with Jesse at the doctor. After the appointment, we headed to Aunt Jeanna's house. Grandma and Papa were in town from Pennsylvania to clean out the barn, garage, and sheds and to hang out with family for Easter. Grandma had a fun egg decorating craft for Corban and Hannah. It made me a little nervous since Corban is allergic to eggs but Grandma blew out the inside of the eggs and then soaked them in bleach before letting Corban touch them and he was fine- thanks, Grandma!

We hung out at Jeanna's house until 6:30 p.m. and Corban never took a nap so he was ready for bed by the time we got home. It was a busy day but really fun hanging out with friends and family!
