Crazy October

Friday, October 1st: Day 6 of 15 of Jesse being in Chicago for work, babysitting Morganne 8:15am-5:30pm, and running "Morning Moms" 9:30-11:15am...a start to another crazy month!

On Friday, Oct. 8th (Jesse was still away), I promised Corban a Corban/Mommy sleep over that entailed putting Malorie to bed at 7pm, building a tent, making popcorn, watching a movie, and sleeping in my bed instead of his. We had lots of fun! I even bought Corban an early birthday DVD- the Disney cartoon "Robin Hood"- one of my old favorites- he loved it and, consequently, EVERYTHING in our house is now a bow and arrow;)

Below is a terrible picture of Corban and I but it shows his cool blue cookie cake that we made for celebrating his 4th birthday with Daddy, Malorie, Malachi, Rinnah, and Beckham at lunch time on Oct. 14th.

On Corban's actual 4th birthday-Oct. 15th- we went to a Barn Party that Adam and Alicia's church was having and Corban had a BLAST square dancing! The next day was his party with family- a Bob the Builder party!

Oct. 21-24 we were in PA for a work weekend. The boys remodeled the kitchen in the trailer (in preparation for hunting season) while the girls took care of the kids and made peanut/milk/egg-free meals at my in laws' house up the road. We had a great time picking pears, feeding the horses, playing at the playground, climbing hay bales, and letting the kids sit on one of my father-in-law's John Deere tractors! :)

Jesse was in New York city for work Oct. 26-31 so here are some shots of the kids and I on Oct. 30 enjoying our Saturday- finally a day of no babysitting and relaxing just the 3 of us! But we missed Daddy:(

After Malorie woke up from her afternoon nap, we went to the Strong Museum of Play to play and eat dinner since our membership expired Nov. 1st....
